Just out of curiousity I thought it would be fun to see how many bass we all catch a year.

Weird that I caught 77 bass both in 07 and 05.

Oops, I guess this should be on the general discussion forum.

I am a soft plastic bait designer and I fish an average of 100 days a year. All bass fishing. Hard to keep up with numbers but with an average of 25 fish a day, there you go.

.

I get to fish alot of great water and many are private lakes so I can tune in to which different style produces the most bites without wondering if I am in the fish or not. Most of these lakes are under fished to say the least and it really gives me an opportunity to study action and reaction to variety. Tough job but somebody's got to do it! Good Fishin'.

I catch around 40 a year.I only get out on the weekends and i'm limited to shore fishing. No boat.Might be less than that this year,my girl found a new job and it requires her to work every other weekend sat. and sun. So,looks like i'll be taking my kid out with me more often.kinda hard to fish when you watching and helping a 3 year old.Should be fun though, can't wait to get my boy out on the water with me. :)

KVD's 2008 schedule is 11 tournaments including the classic or 12, that's 3 days per or 36 days, multiply 36 days by a 5 bass limit equals 180 bass per year, multiply 180 bass by 3 years that's 540 bass minimum.

That's not including what he culls   :)

Never kept track.  Maybe this year I'll start.

0 so far---that was easy

Ave. 10 per day, 30 days maybe= +/- 300

Not enough!! I hope to remedy that after I retire:o)

Absolutely no way to keep track for me since fishing season never ends around here and I go between 3 and 5 days a week. The only way would be to install one of the counter clickers to the side of the boat.

I do keep records, but can't find my records prior to 1985. Since then though I have averaged 1,162.95 per year with my highest count being in 2007 at 2,537 and lowest in 1995 being 686.

Numbers of fish is one thing I track on Microsoft data base.  My numbers were down this past year.  I fish for black bass 7 months and white bass 2 months each year.

This past year  I had 803 black bass and 1650 white bass.

whats wrong with you, southern boy? you're supposed to be all up on the bass!!!! ;D

I fish for black bass 7 months and white bass 2 months each year.

And twidle your thumbs the other three months? jk

I don't keep track.

I would assume at least 100 to 150, and probably more.

I just catch and release and have a good time.

Fishing is an escape from work and family obligations and problems and the last thing I want to do is mess it up with statistics.

Why would you really care ? EGO maybe.

I've kept detailed records since 1972 and my yearly average is between 900 to 1200 bass per year depending on number of days spent on the water. From 1974-1982 I was heavily into tournament fishing putting 100+ days on the water; now I'm lucky to get 40-50 days.

2008 is killing my average; I haven't been on the water since November 21, 2007 :-[

Why would you really care ? EGO maybe.

BINGO, we have a winner

2008 = 0

I've never kept count before this year.

The question isnt how much you catch, its how much fun and relaxation you get  ;D
