I thought it would be appropriate to bump this thread after hearing the bad news of @Catt's passing.  I don't fish Toledo Bend but this is a very interesting read for anyone.  I know Tommy took a lot

I have to say, this is by far the best information I ever read about fishing Toledo bend! thanks for starting it Catt. Im only on page 11 but this post is excellent. I recently got a camp in San Patricio, a little north of Sepulvados landing. If i fish in that cove, I fish the 2 coves north of satellite cove and across on the back side of the little island with some success, usually on flukes. but I keep wanting to head across to the back of britten. I really like it there. Anyone fish that area? San Patrico, britten, Wilson etc?

I fish San Patrico.   My camp is on young road.  Not sure about Britten!  I do fish blue lake at times.  San Miguel is good too!  We might get together one day.  I fish all the oil field touraments that I can.   Have a bless day!

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

I'll be there between San Miguel and San Patricio trying to make that dream a reality!

Sounds good. Young road? Where is that?

We a week of warm weather coming!

Hey guys I am still looking for a guide on Toledo Bend.  The day I am looking for is Saturday Feb 27th.  I tried contacting Darold Gleason but I haven't heard back from him at all.  I tried him through Facebook and never got a response.  If anyone else knows of a guide on Toledo Bend, and/or another way to get a hold of Darold, please let me know.  Thanks!  Also, thank you to Bass_Fanatic for your help.

Strange that Darold hasn't gotten in touch with you, he is about as good as they come!  If that doesn't work out though, there are many others that are great too. try joe joslin or tommy Martin.

Tommy Martin will be high!

Try Butch Covington or Stephen Johnson

My Pop and I are heading to F&F tomorrow.  Any reports to get us started?

Hope you do better than I did today. Put 3 fish in the boat from daylight to dark.  So I'm not much help ?

BF, sounds tough, wish it could've been better.  Could you let me in on what not to do:-{

I flipped bushes, cypress trees, fished haygrass and milfoil, fished ledges and points. I caught 2 shallow and one deep lol.  And I didn't get a single bite on a Arig.  You may be able to throw a senko or wacky work on e edge of haygrass and milfoil in houses and pick some fish up. I never slowed down enough to do it.

I fished from 1:30 to dark and caught a Skunk in the 1215 area. The water is a little too stained for me. I have no clue where to go tomorrow, now. I planned on spending the weekend fishing that area. C'est la vie!

I don't know what's going on out there, but apparently it stunk everywhere!  I fished from lowes to housen today.

Sounds like about 99% of my past trips!  LF a skunk is what put my boat up for the past 4 months.  Guys, thanks for the info.  Gonna watch my son play a little B-BALL this am and head out.  Me and Pops gonna fish hard, I'm sure there will be silent competition amongst us. He seems to always kick my rear, nothing said, I just get that look. I hate that look:happy11:

Headed that way tomorrow afternoon and Monday !! Looks like a may need to lower my expectations..... ??

Who would y'all recommend for a guided sac-a-lait trip on the Bend. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully, for you the wind dies down and they'll bite a little cause I'll be back at work ?

Channel Swings (aka Inside Turns), relevance to bend fishing?  What are they? How to locate on Topo or HnL Map?

Ended up with 13 today. Better fish were caught flipping up to 4 lbs. caught some late afternoon on a shad colored trap. I hope tomorrow is better ahead of the front.

Fishing north or south Bryan? I heard another report of fish being caught shallow north.

Just getting back from the bend. We fished north of wrights landing and caught one flipping the bushes. Got our butts whipped in the wind. Ended up south, around 1215 and caught 5 more flipping. But I did catch my biggest fish ever. 6.1lbs :)

Fished 1215 this afternoon. Fish were not really active. Hope the wind lays a little so I can move around.

Alright, we got on the water at 130pm today and had one fish till 430, then we found a point next to deep water, close to 4-6 ft flipping brush and found some schoolies where we caught about 30 in 30 minutes. It was AWESOME. ALL schoolies were caught on traps. One crawfish color, another gold black back orange belly. There were about 10-12 keepers but we kept 7 of the biggest (almost 4lbs. )  Wind kicked our ass most of the time but every fish was caught on a protected area from the wind ( those areas were tough to find)
