Hello all i am a bass fisherman thats aoriganaly from Zimbabwe but now living in the uk I used to fish a lot in zimbabwe and have personaly cuaght 5 bass over ten pounds and my bigest five fish limit was 30 pounds i will post pictures on this forum soon.A few years ago i opened my own tackleshop in zimbabwe and it was going well but the zimbabwean goverment started confiscating farms and bussiness's and zimbabwe now has the highest inflation rate in the world.I have now moved to the uk when i came i brought a couple of hundred cranbaits buzzbaits etc with me unfortunately there is no bass fishing here so i suppose i will have to start selling of my stuff thats going to hurt cheers guys this site is one of the few pleasures i have in life and it keeps me in touch with bass fishing.

WELCOME tatu! It's a shame what is going on in Zimbabwe. Don't sell your cranks and buzzbaits!

You can allways use them for pike and perch. Maybe you should visit Switzerland one day. We have some nice bass around here and it is not far from the UK! The bass do not get as big as in South Africa or Zimbabwe but they are bass (northern strain). Here's a pic of me with a decent bass.

welcome aboard Tatu!

By "sportsman", do you mean a "guide".  An angler/boat for hire?

If so, let us know what lake you are interested in.  The guides are listed by the lakes they specialize in.  Idf I can make a suggestion, Tom Redington of lake Fork is a "sure thing"

Great guy and a member here if you are interested.

Otherwise, name a place and we'll get you a whole list with websites and phone numbers.

Hiya all

I am another Ex -Zim Bass angler living in the UK. Really missing the bush and  Bass. How about setting up a Club and organising a monthly league on the nearest dam with Bass - any thoughts.
