Welcome aboard!

The best smallmouth fishing is NOW through early March on the Tennessee River below Wilson Dam in northern Alabama (Pickwick) or below Pickwick Dam in Tennessee.  In the spring, better fishing will be in the reserviors around Nashville, especially Dale Hollow.

I enjoy hearing from all of you TN people here.  Although I'm posting from the other side of the world, I grew up in Middle Tennessee (Macon) until I joined the military over twenty years ago.  I'll be back there some day.  (Sorry to be off topic, but I felt the urge to chime in.)

Good Luck.

I'm from SW TN. No help with hotspots, just wanted to say  WELCOME to the forums!!!

BTW KB we're always glad to see a prodigal son come home ;)

I fish Percy priest in Nashville, the harpeth river in Franklin, and Williamsport WMA around Columbia.  There aren't any smallmouth at Williamsport, but it is a great place to go if your fishing from the bank.   They also rent boats for $8.
