Best Topwater Baits?

Featured Replies

90% of the time if I'm throwing topwater, I'm throwing a Super Spook jr. The other 10% its a Cavitron Buzzbait.

I LIKE A BUZZ BAIT.

I like a Rebel Pop R and anything that i can walk the dog with, especially yo zuris.

As much as I agree with everyone about the Rebel Pop-R;  I have to add that the BassPro Shop XPS has worked even better than the Pop-R for me.  Especially the color "Bone/Orange Belly."  At dawn with this bait, I have an incredible cast/catch ratio.  Way better than any other bait I use.  The secret is fish it VERY slow.  I usually pop it a couple times then let it sit for 10-15 seconds, then pop it again.  I LOVE THIS BAIT!!!

Rapala Skitterpop seems to be the best topwater lure for me, and definately the best popper by far. Has such a great blipping and blooping action, plus it walks the dog great.

Don't forget a couple Cavitron buzzbaits though. Best buzzer around.

One Pic worth a thousand words  5/8 oz. 8-)

I like all the new soft frogs, can't pin it down two just one.

But that new Strike King Rage Tail frog, looks good in the water.

I agree about the Rage Tail Toad and I like the Rage Shad better than any buzzbait on the market. These are some serious top baits and the time of year is getting right as well. Good fishin.

Lucky craft Gunfish - you can do alot of different things with this bait.  Walk the Dog or fish it like a chugger as well.

Jitterbug

Buzz bait

Devil's Horse
