Need a new computer

Featured Replies

I tried to get the internet at home last night but after 20 min of giving them all my info she asked me what puter I got.  I told her and basically got a laugh and hey its not the stoneage.  Well thats how I took it. LOL

I cant use my crapper computer for the internet.  So I have to get a new one.  Basically what I'm going to use it for is just the internet, storing pictures from my camera, and basic work.  Nothing like major gaming like some people do.

Any recommendations?  BTW Dude I'm looking at Dell's.

any big difference between a single or dual processor?

If all you're wanting to do is Internet, email, pictures, etc., then anything off the shelf at Best Buy or one of the office stores will work just fine.

Dual processor would be a waste for those needs.  Specs should be at least 1gb ram, 100gb hard drive, multimedia reader (for all your camera/gps cards), and some form of cd/dvd burner.  Throw in a decent size flat screen monitor and you should be all set for well under $1000.

You can't go wrong with Dell.  It's all I have at my company and at home.  If your needs are simple you dont need a dual processor though.
