How about a "VETERAN's VENT" section where those 2+ year guys can fume about the newbies?   :

I find I have burned out on a number of thread subjects that we have.  However, like LBH says, we have so many new members that these subjects aren't old to them.  I find myself not wanting to post on these worn out subjects, but if all of the people who have been here for awhile stopped posting the informative nature of the forum would suffer.  

well i have seen some of the mods and other members direct new members to a thread that already exists on the particular topic....that seems to be the best route

Guys, as a "newbie" I'm sorry if I/we seem redundant or boring. It's really not our intention. Although I've been fishing for several years, I'm learning on a daily basis thank's to you "old timers". Please don't give up on us. I enjoy reading lots of the forums and articules included on this GREAT site! Even some I didn't think I'd really be interested in at the start. Please don't give up on us. I'm so thankful someone took the time to instill a love of the water, an enjoyment of fishing (bass in particular), and a thirst for knowledge! Also a huge THANKS to my son, westpalmdude for putting me onto this site! deb

 This is the first message board of any kind I've ever joined. IMHO: It seems the computer must be the worst form of communication ever developed when it comes to anything but black and white, yes and no type of ideas. Without facial expressions or voice inflections a lot of things come across, at best, dead flat. Jokes and humor can come across as condecending or even mean. That's really too bad because those 2 things help make us human or almost human anyway ...

It becomes apparent after awhile that some of us old guys have a hard time entertaining ourselves. Muddy_man and I have developed a little history and are friends. We both have a tendency to act a little silly. It's all in fun and we love BassResource.com as much as anyone. I just forget sometimes when we are joking among ourselves that this is a internet message board, and everyone who has a computer can read it, DOOHHH? Sorry if I made light of anyone who participates here. That was not the intention. BTW-I always enjoy your posts and stories. THANKS!

No worries!  I certainly took no offense.  I was just trying to relay my sincere thanks to all you guys!  You have truly helped me.  No only in fishing but in filling in some tough times!  Fishing is my "escape" from the realities of life.  The stressors and when I can't be out there, you guys help trememdously!!! I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of such a great bunch of people! I just hope you don't get too tired of my pics and posts!                   deb
