I hate these little buggers.  Anyone have good ways of getting rid of them?  

I live in town so the old ways I used I cant use any longer.

We recently had a problem with them. We rolled the lawn and put down a bug killer that also targeted grubs. It seems to have been working. We don't regularly live on the property that had the problem so we didn't try any of the traps.

Last year I thought they were gone as we used grub control the the year before when the grubs were present. Now this year no grubs but a ton of mole action. I rolled the yard in early spring and it it already a huge mess. If you come up with something be sure to post it. I have tried traps also but with no luck.

There is an electronic device that you can get, that sends out some kind of signal and keeps them out of your yard, will have to call my sister and ask her, she used it when she renovated her yard and planted new grass.  It worked great.

I use dynamite and C-4. The neighbors complain about the noise but, I don't have any more moles !!! ;D

Try this:

Take a stick of Wrigley's juicy fruit gum and leave in the surface holes. For some reason they can't digest it. We had one in the back corner of our yard a couple of years ago and this got rid of it.

Push a few moth balls into their tunnels, just one every 3-4' and they will disappear in no time. (You can push them through the ground with a stick).

Hey G Man : Do it BROOKLYN STYLE

1. Get a fire hose and attach it to nearest fire plug(Bklyn;Johnny Pump)

2.Insert hose into one side of mole tunnel

3 turn on water

4. Put on a rain slicker

5.Get a net stand on other side by hole

6.When you see something that looks like this picture extend net and catch the little buggers

7.Flush em down the toilet

Actually I have also heard that the Juicy Fruit gum method will work. On the golf course we used "Poison Peanuts" You can get it in your local hardware store. Its in a yellow container that is shaped like a cone. Flatten out all their tunnels that they have made and look which one are pushed up tomorrow so you know which one are actively being used, use the cone shaped container to make a hole into their tunnels and drop some peanuts in there. Cleared up our problem. And IMO live traps are a waste of time and money.  

thanks for the help guys.  I'm going to try the gum first its cheap like me.  There wont be any live traps I can garantee that one.  I had a congressional meeting last night and declared war.  So first its little gum land mines. IF that doesnt work I'll bunker bust with the poison peanuts. If that doesnt work I've got a couple last resorts.

What logger said  There is also a product called Moles-all that I think is available to the general public now..  Just make sure you get the last place they burrowed.  30+ years on the golf course,  and that is the only practical way to get the little vermits without checking traps constantly.  By the way, if you do get traps, the conibear (sp) are more effective than the spear traps.

I've got moles pretty bad as well.  I've tried the peanuts and so far I've gotten 2 of them.  I've had far less success over the years with the traps.

At the place i work we have smoke bombs that you light and throw in the hole and cover up the hole.

That did the trick.  I used winter fresh though.  Worked like a champ no more mole.    I forgot to let you guys know it worked.

But now I got another one.  He jumped the border.  I havent had a mole since I put the 1/2 stick in the hole but this morning I noticed a new mound right next to the neighbors jungle grass :  So I guess tonight I'll gum him too.

To get rid of moles, get rid of what they want....Grubs.

Glad to hear the gum thing worked because ours seem to be coming back. I'm gonna have to give that method a try.
