Alot of you may have noticed I haven't been as active lately as I have been in the past. Well, now you know the reason. My fiancee, Christine and I are expecting our first child this February 23. I justify posting this under General Bass Fishing because he or she WILL become a member.... eventually.

This also means that Niksfishinmom is going to be a GRANDMOTHER.

We have some names picked out if it is a boy (ohpleaseohpleaseohplease) or a girl. In the meantime, Christine and I have decided to call our child, "Baby Ninja".

Anyway, I had been wanting to share the news but wanted to wait until we went to the first doctor's appointment to make it official.

For now, I'll be practicing becoming "WestPalmDaddy". ;D

Congrats!!  I became a first time daddy about 3 1/2 months ago.  Greatest thing to ever happen in my life!!

Glad to see a couple other first time and expecting dads.  My wife and I are expecting our first Oct. 31st.  We've already found out were having a boy.  Guess our kids will have fishing buddies all over the country.  Congratulations Westpalm and NE.
