My 15 year old daughter Stephanie & I are jumpin on the Goldwing and taking off for Montrose CO this Sunday. We will document two Iron Butt rides (SS1000 and BB1500) on the way out. Two weeks and around 6000 miles. I am way pumped up about this trip. There's not many things in life a 50 year old dad and his 15 year old daughter can share together. I can't tell you how thankful I am that she loves to ride with me and hang out with my friends who ride. Life is good, God is good all the time.

Here's a pic of Me and Steph riding the "Hawks Nest" along the Delaware River...

Pray for us to have a safe trip and to make some great memories.

Good parenting?  Isn't that a big fat, dube hanging out of Alpster's mouth?  Oh, that's a microphone, sorry.   ;)

Enjoy the scenery, Alp.  That is so cool that you get to ride with your daughter.  I don't know what route you're taking but you know Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the Union.  Have a safe trip.

Stay safe and enjoy yourself  ;)

I used to go on rides with my dad, it was a ton of fun. You guys should have a blast!

I used to get sore and worn out within about 100 miles, but that was because all three of his Harleys have been 60's Panhead Hardtails! Sitting over no springs on the back of the bike is quite literally a PITA! The 'wing looks a little more accomodating though! Does she have a DVD screen on the back of your helmet? :D

Have fun, ride safe!

Jay,

Funny you should mention the DVD player. I fabricated a mount that slips over my back rest and she watches "M.A.S.H." videos and movies on the road. I only get to hear the audio through the headsets, but I have seen the MASH episodes so many times I can visualize them in my head. I will post a pic of this setup when I get the seat put back on. It's off to install her passenger audio controller. This gizmo lets her independently adjust the volume of the XM radio, MP3 player, DVD or GPS directions and adds a push to talk switch for her to use the CB radio without my help. This bike is a little more comfy than a HD hardtail.  ;) ;) LOL

Counting the days till we go.

The more I hear about this bike the more it seems like a airplane, lol!

Stephanie describes it as a "low key roller coaster", but it definitely flies like an airplane. LOL
