Ok so maybe this wasnt the smartest idea....

How many G's are on the human body at 124 mph? Terminal velocity of a skydiver is 124 mph.

None. In free fall at terminal velocity its the same as being weightless. It's the Gs when you hit that are the killer.

Someone knows their physics. My physics teacher told us if a cat falls from seven stories or greater it will more than likely survive. This is because when a cat reaches terminal velocity it relaxes and spreads apart to increase drag. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat_righting_reflex

My neighbor has a cat, I may have to test that out. :D

mmmmm... Physics equation time

Ok correct me if I'm doing this wrong not a science guy I like my History and English.

v=u+at

time= idk 4 seconds? multiplied by..

acceleration= free fall so gravity which is 9.8 m/s

initial velocity=0 so...

When he hit he was going about 117.6 ft/s so that tower was about 468 feet?

This isn't a fake.  I remember seeing the raw footage as it came over the satellite back in my TV news days.  This happened in south America somewhere (can't remember where).  They guy was drunk and decided it would be fun to climb on top of a 1000' tower.

Good thing you guys only saw it from a thumbnail version on the web.  In a full TV screen, in slow motion, the guy gets cut in half as he lands on the cement wall surrounding the tower.

There's a lot of stuff like that you never see on TV.  But I saw more than my fair share of stuff like this, including murders, vicious car wrecks, natural disasters, and horrible accidents (like the one where power lines fell into a crowd, killing 100+ people and then "cooking" them, setting the bodies on fire).

It's gory stuff.  At first you're fascinated, but then it just makes you sick after you've seen a few.

They still stick in my memory, which is why I remember the video here.  In fact, I recognized it before it even played.

No, I just don't like cats.  :P

We simply told our physics teacher "We dont believe you. Prove it." I def. dont like cats either.

What goes up, must come down.  ;D

hmmmmm...... ouch! :-?

Yet another "fun with substance abuse" video.
