Nightmares?

Has anyone ever watched the Shining?  I just watched the 1st hour of it and can't watch anymore.  Call me what you want but I'm going to bed with the lights and television on.  This has to be one of Jack Nicholson's best performances.  Perhaps if I go to sleep watching cartoons then I won't have any nightmares.

I actually stayed at the Hotel were they filmed this movie.  It was for company business and I got in at 2 a.m.

I was really scared and I had to go through long narrow hall ways with this weird red carpet and down elevators and then stairs.  I didn't know then about the movie or anything but the next day everyone was talking about it and how "even the men" were scared...

When I am in a migraine cluster, I can be subject to some nasty ones.  It's the medication.  I'm talking, mean, nasty nightmares like one I remembered, my buddy and my g/f, (turns out they were cheating on me) had taken my mom hostage and shot her in front of me.  They were laughing as I protested all the things going on in the dream.  The more I protested, the more they laughed,....wrote that one down when I woke up.  I keep a migraine diary, recording all the times/triggers/pain levels, etc.  I noted this dream down on it that morning.  I HATE NIGHTMARES

I taught myself years ago how to control my dreams, no more nightmares.

I've heard some amazing things about "dream tailoring" Catt, can you do this?

I never have nightmares unless I have the meds in me so I don't fret about them much.

I have not had a nightmare since the late 60s, never tried to purposely dream what I want but I can stop bad dreams.

The Night I got married to my ex wife I had a dream I was married to my ex mother in law. Several years later that nightmare turned out to REALITY>>>>>>>>>THEY BOTH GONE NOW

Yup, migraine meds and certain foods before bed and I will have some crazy nightmares. The ones where you wake up sweating and don't know if it was real or not. Hate that feeling.

As far as I know I do not dream.

Everyone dreams, just won't remember them   I usually have nightmares when I'm overly exhausted.

Sometimes if I eat certain foods real late at night,or if something is bothering me I will have nightmares.

Haven't had a real Nightmare that I can remember in a long time.  Have a ton of good dreams though.

i dont even remember the last time i had a dream....let alone a nightmare.

i do remember when i was 3 or 4 i had a repeating nightmare. i was in a maze and there was a pink saber tooth tiger chasing me and there was no exit in the maze and i'd get to the end and he'd always get me each time. every time i had that dream i'd go sleep in my parents bed.  :-/

If I eat a bunch of sugar or chocolate right before I go to bed, I have serious heart pumping, adrenalin filled dreams. Some bad, some good.   :o

I've been having a reoccurring nightmare that has been keeping me up lately.  There's these two old guys, one with a cheesy Brooklyn accent.  The other guy is a little bit older and has a perverted obsession with Angelina Jolie.  They just won't leave me alone!

Any advice on how to get rid of them?

;D

I usually have some wicked ones after a stressful day....Kinda noticed that as time went by.Alot of them i hardly remember.

Have been woke up because of Paula hollering my name and she was out of bed and across the room. Really bad...

As LBH said, have heard of it. Catt, certainly wish I could learn how to do that. Have realized (in the middle of a dream) it was a dream and still couldn't do anything about it...
