I fish in the river alot and bream love to bite at the tail of a senko or trick worm.  This got me to thinking.  I want to find a small in-line hook to rig a small worm on to specifically target bream.  I have found the size 1 EWG Gamakatsu worm hooks but they are still too big.  Anyone know of a smaller hook that I could use with small soft plastics?  Thanks in advance.

Unless this is something I don't understand, why not use L or UL just for bream? Have had large bream bite parts off soft plastics but they always go for the trailing ends of the bait, even finesse worms. IMHO you would have better luck with small floating minnows or tiny cranks. Have caught some LARGE male bream on this type set-up this year ...

Exactly, they always bite the back of the worm.  That is why I wanted a small hook and a 2 or three inch bait, hoping that they will bite all the lure and not just the rear.

Those might work.  However, I would love to find some small in-line hooks to give a try.

by "in-line hooks" im assuming you just mean regular ole' hooks.

in this case, go into ANY fly shop and ask for a pack or two of hooks in the size 10-14 range. these sizes work for most bream. if you have abnormally large bream, you might wanna try a size 8 hook too. but 10 or 12 works best on most bream (14 is really tiny).

I would venture out to wal-mart or your local bait and tackle store and look for cricket hooks, they specifically say cricket hooks usually a size 8, I get the renegade, wal-mart brand size 8 for 98 cents for a pack of 15 not a bad deal and they work. Good look to ya, I always use live crickets for bream can't be beat.

I agree with backwoodsbassfishin. Using Cricket hooks and live crickets are a great way to catch Bream, regardless of size.

Crickets are the best, imo. However, I believe you have to be careful with the hook size being too small. I use this a lot with my kids. When the hooks are too small, the fish swallow them. That usually doesn't end so well.

Just use very small curly tail jigs, they outfish live bait. That is unless youre taking young ones. Then you can fake them out if you got a boat, just turn the trolling motor on 1.

Don't really know if this is part of original question :-[! If you are going with live bait (crickets), most every sporting goods store carry bream sized hooks. Make sure and get long shanked hooks. That takes care of the problem of swallowed hooks ...
