RIP Chuck!

Featured Replies

I just read the news article on Charlton Heston passing away and I am deeply saddened to hear about it. He was one of my all time favorite actors and a man of integrity and honor, IMO! I just watched "The Ten Commandments" the other day which is so strange. His presence on screen was phenomenal. Along with the roles like he had in "Will Penny", "Ben Hur", "Planet of the Apes", "The Omega Man", and "Soylent Green", his portrayal of Moses will never be topped.

I vividly remember when "Ben Hur" premiered and then played at the Tivoli theater in my home town for nearly 3 months straight!

The Motion Picture industry and we movie fans have truely lost a Silver Screen ICON!

Thanks for letting us know, Burley.

Appreicate the post.

Man, what a loss.

Not only was Charleston Heston an excellent actor, but he was one of the last beacons of normalcy in Hollywood.

He will be greatly missed.

He is a super American and a great partiot.

A Great American Actor, RIP is correct. Most of you know the work he did with the NRA, I admire the work he did in the 60's, he was a loud voice for the civil rights movement.

Rest in peace man, you were a good guy.

I hadn't heard.  Very sad, but what a great legacy.  He'll be sadly missed.

I actually met him at an NRA banquet.  He was a genuine and friendly as any one of us.

May you rest in peace Mr. Heston.  May your legacy live on.  Thank you for your work in the movies, the civil rights and the NRA.

God Bless you and your family.

Sixty Minutes did a segment on him this evening.  He was interviewed soon after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.  He will be missed.

Thank you sir for all you did.

I did not know this. I have seen Moses so many times I can't count. My daughter and I watch it every Easter. RIP and thanks for the work you did with NRA. " This is Flat Iron range, no squatters here."
