Jones Roofing Co. is born!

Featured Replies

I have finally spread my wings! So far I'm flying!

I had been considering going into business for myself for awhile now. Well a few weeks ago I decided to go for it. I got the break I was needing. I sold my old bass boat which gave me the flow I needed. I had all winter to decide and I knew I wanted find a way to invest the blessing. I had been roofing for other companies for over 14 years and had been running crews for almost 10 years. I got tired of making money for the other guy and now have decided to make some for myself. I've already got a 5-man crew, counting myself. After the first week, I am already booked for the next 3 weeks! I have a handful of other estimates out and 4 more to figure today.

So if you don't see me around as much it's just because I buried up in my work. I'm sure it will settled down sometime but starting out a business takes alot of time and dedication. Alot of people think it's great to be your own boss but I'm a tough one for me to work for!  :-/

Wish me luck,  CJ

Congrats & Best Wishes CJ!!!!  I started my own company 9 years ago so if you ever need to do some talking or venting let me know. BTW I can introduce you to the guy who built my house in Cadiz if you are networking on the other side of the lakes!

Thanks Guys!

The one thing my company is going to be built on is quality workmanship. I have seen to many crap jobs done on roofs in the past. I'm gonna put "quality" back into workmanship. I will settle for no less than to be considered the best! After all roofing isn't rocket science but every trade needs dedicated workmanship that covers all the details!

Thanks again, CJ

Good luck, CJ. I'm glad you take pride in what you do. Too many people don't care about how their poor work reflects on them.

Good luck CJ.  I took the plunge 11 years ago.  Lots of hard work, stress, and intense dedication is all it will take.  You can do it!  If you ever need advice or just want to complain about you clients to someone, just shoot me a note.

That's awesome CJ. I remember you talking about that when we were on the roadtrip. Cangrats.

And it's cool that you named the company after your dad.  ;)

I wish you tons and tons of luck!

CJ, wishing you all the best!  It will put a crimp in your fishing for a while, but in the long run, the sacrifices will be well worth it.

Yep, once you get big enough you'll have more people to delegate at while you head to the lake.

Best of luck CJ.

You're about to become very busy. We won't be hearing from you as often now.

Stop in when you can, knowing you'll be welcome.

Congrats on your new business CJ. There is nothing like running you own business.
