Glenn is right...the answer is language, but the question isn't phrased right.  The correct riddle is...

Angry and hungry are two words that end in '-gry'. There are three words in the English language. What is the third word? Everyone knows what it means and everyone uses it every day. Look closely and I have already given you the third word. What is it?

There is the riddle...language is the answer.

There are three "2's" in the English language.

So how do you write the above sentence without using "2's"?

I must be retarded but these riddles dont make any sense. How does "Language" end in "GRY" ????

You have to read The Natural's response about the riddle being flawed.

There are many variations to this riddle.  But Language is one of the answers.  The riddle should have read like this...

This is going to make you so MAD! There are three words in "the English language" that end in "gry". ONE is angry and the other is hungry. EveryONE knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for. EveryONE uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word. What is it?

The answer to this one is Language because the phrase "the English Language" should have been in quotations.  Hence, The is "the" is the 1st word,  "English" is the 2nd, and "language" is the 3rd word.   Now the riddle states "if you listened very carefuly, ive given you the THIRD word.  What is it?"  The 3rd word in the phrase is "language" and that is the answer.  Anything else in the riddle is Moot and doesnt matter.

Another answer can be ENERGY.  In this riddle is phrased a little different.  like this...

This is going to make you so MAD! There are three words in the English language that end in "gry". ONE is angry and the other is hungry. EveryONE knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for. EveryONE uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word. What is it?

The answer to this one is ENERGY because the riddle never states that tne G R Y need to be in that specific order.  It could be R G Y or even Y G R.

In the original post the ending the riddle with "____gry". Gives it no answer to fit that molding.

Hope it helps!
