Was just thinking about this beacuse RW always uses the phrase "Goodnight Irene" when he shuts down a thread. I've heard this phrase quite often over the years.

Anyone know who Irene is or was? Where did this phrase come from?

I always liked the Johnny Cash rendition myself.
