Coming sign of the apocalypse?

I am guessing this would be one of them. When we have de-evolved to a point where we need to be kicking in someones door for fried chicken, that is just sad. Being Gaston county, this dude at best has a 1 in 4 chance he would have kicked in a door at a home where a gun resides. So he literally put his life on the line for chicken.

They valued 2 thighs at $10, imagine if they were breasts it would have been a felony.

It's going to be getting much, much worst.

Some of the higher unemployment states are already seeing people steal food out of grocery stores.I'm seeing cops at the stores a lot more now than i ever did.

Thats pretty scary if you think about it. Someone has to be very desperate to bust into a house for food.

We have had a horrible couple of weeks for crime in this area. Had a lethal home invasion, had some guys busted for huffing compressed air in Walmart, stealing jewelry from a Dept store in a mall.

Some dude in the development behind me is even calling folks in my neighborhood trying these random schemes. Told my next door neighbor his house burned down and he needed money. Apparently he never heard of caller ID, cause my neighbors have sent the cops to his door a couple times now.

I can tell you, with 4 little girls in my house, I would definitely shoot first and ask questions later if someone comes kicking in my door. Can't say i would feel good about being forced to kill someone but I would not hesitate to protect my own.

Living on the edge of a sewer, my community has learned the value of well paid law enforcement. We still have scumbags sneaking over at night, so theft and burglary are issues. However, we have only had one homicide in over a decade and the perps were put away for life.

Apprehend, prosecute and incarcerate...no deals!

With regard to breaking in while I'm home...There will be no trial.

Like no one here's kicked in a door for some breasts and thighs before........ ::)

Not for thighs that were valued for $10 or less.

I'm just curious - If someone knocked on your door, and said they were hungry, would you feed them?

Sure; most likely they'd get leftovers. They could choose from Greenish Meatloaf, some slightly 'gooey' stuff that might have been chili and some ketchup with an expiration date some time during the Reagan administration. If they were too proud for that, I'd say no.

Honestly, I would probably tell them to get lost. Not because I would not want to feed them. But because lately there have been a couple home invasions around here where they will send someone to the door asking for something mundane like food or a phone. It is a ploy to get you to open the door so they can rob you.

It kills me that it makes me act this way, but I have to worry more about my kids in the house.

I agree with that one. We also need a express lane for the hardened murderers.

Yes.  If they asked for food, I'd probably give them something.  If they asked for money to buy food, no.

A guy stopped me at my car the other day after I came out of the grocery store and asked me for money to buy food with. He gave me this long sob story about how he is living in the woods and is bi-polar and schizophrenic. I said I don't carry any cash on me, so he walked away. When I got into my car I noticed I had a pack of cheese crackes in my center console. I grabbed the crackers and told the guy he could have these, but instead of eating them he just put them in his pocket. I hate when drug addicts and alcoholics ask for money to buy food. I would be more willing to give someone a dollar for drugs or alcohol if they would just say, i'm a drug addict and need money for drugs or alcohol.
