Before you get too old......

Featured Replies

What are some things that you want to do before you get too old to do them?

Some of mine:

1) play 1 or 2 games of football ( touch is ok ) I just always liked playing. I can be deceivingly quick so I want to just once blow by a youngster on a pass route. Working on getting in shape as we speak to do this.

2) watch my oldest children's faces as they watch my parents dance again. I always took it for granted but my kids had no idea that my parents could dance this well. At my parents 50th I saw my parents dance but didn't notice my children's faces. We are running dangerously low on time for my parents plus they've had some health issues.

3) take the grandchildren fishing ( don't have any yet )

4) fish with or own an upper end Loomis rod

5) go on a short fishing trip with dad again and watch his face as he catches a few nice bass

6) Catch a 5lb LMGB

7) Catch a 6lb LMGB

8) Catch an 7lb LMGB

9) go on a BassResource.com road trip

You don't have to be old to answer. What are some of yours?

Get over my fear of flying so I can take trips around the country/world.

Fish in Costa Rica.

Pitch in MLB until I give up one earned run.

Fish tournament with my Uncle before he gets too old.

Take my son on all night Snook fishing trips and all day Bass fishing trips.  He's only 11 months young.

1. Go to the northwest US and fish a killer stream in the middle of nowhere miles from the nearest human

2. Fish for 300+ lb Marlin

3. Do both with my girls (I got 4 of them)

At my ripe old age I can truthfully say that there are very few items left to do on my "Bucket List." (plagiarized from the movie of the same name)

1.  Catch and land a double digit bass.

2.  Tour more of our nation's great National Parks, e.g. Yosemite and Glacier.

I have had the great good fortune of doing and seeing things that most men only dream of.

I have snow-skied in Norway and water-skied in Singapore.  I have ridden camels in Egypt and watched the Changing of the Guard in England.

Most importantly, I have a wife that I still adore after thirty-nine years of marriage. Plus, I have watched our children grow, become responsible adults, and bless me with grandchildren.

There's not much more that a man can ask for.

Jack, you are correct.  Camels stink.  But everything stinks in third-world countries.  The more "third" you go, the worse it stinks.

Go camping with Les stroud

marry my high school sweetheart

hang out with my dad and not argue

ski in switzerland

Bench press 200 LBs.

Go sky diving

Go cliff diving

Fish with Tin, 4Bizz, Burley

And catch a DD in Iowa... it will be done along with the others.

1) Play 18 holes at Augusta while it is in Masters-ready condition

2) Qualify for the U.S. Open

3) Play one game of college soccer

4) See the Saints win a Super Bowl, in person

5) Start a successful business

I should add break 80 on a legit course and also to get a hole in one.

Matt,

If we ever meet, you can fish with a couple of custom Loomis rods.

1.  Win a big money tourney.

2.  Have a successful bait business

3.  Catch a 100 pound tarpon

4.  Last, but certainly not least----make sweet love to Selma Hyeck!!!

Attend a Nascar or an Indy race

Go to a concert of some sort

I'm picky about musicso I've neve bothered )

Although not a big country music guy maybe a Kenney Chesney concert, I'd go see Elton John or Simon and Garfunkel although those are probalbly beyond my price range

Same here.  Whats even worse is that I have come within 6 inches or less probably a dozen times, and my wife, who I took to a par 3 course while on our honeymoon, hit a hole in one.    I'll never live it down till I get one.

hunt and fish from Canada to the Coast .

Catch a DD bass in Illinois

Fish for peacock bass .
