It might just be me but it seems that as of late there have been a lot of threads that have been shut down because of new guys ranting about BassResource.com.

Might just be me but I haven't seen Irene used so much. Like every other day somebody has a problem with someone or something on BR. com

Ah, the weather has a lot of people off their square. I agree a lot of newbees coming from other boards and crapping on this site, last one from a Catfish Board?????

It gets under my skin, I gotta let it go with the flow. They disappear quickly anyway 8-)

Sometimes the best way for a teacher to take care of a bully is to stand back and let the other kids gang up on and beat the crap out of him on the playground.  The next day, the bully comes to school and acts like he has some sense.

I just don't like seeing people bash my favorite website I mean respect other people and if you ain't got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.

that is unless were talking about banjo minnows or eagle claw hooks then you can let the trash fly lol

I think some may take this or any online forum a bit too serious, hardly worth the energy imo to get bent out of shape.

BTW Muddy, I got hooked on a rock this morning and did the bow thing, fist time in my life it worked.....I'll give ya the nod on that. First try too, lol.

Its just a couple of people.  Who knows why.  I try to kill them with kindness.  Makes them look soft when they respond.  Shows they at least have some iota of decency.  Makes them look foolish when they spout off.

Problem is alot of other boards allow people to get pretty ugly. Here the mods let a little venting to go on but no shots being fired. The newbies just need to become educated as to what is and isn't allowed here.

And if I were a newbie, I'd hang out for quite awhile before I started 'ranting' about anything. Kind of like going to a friend of a friend's house and putting your feet up on the coffee table.

The more members we get, the more often we will see this.  If 1 out of 10 people are total a-holes, with a membership of 23,300 we would have 2330 of these wonderful people.  Obviously, I don't know the actual percentage of problem children there are, but if you think about it, in a city of 23,000 just about every type of crime occurs at one time or another.  This is my favorite site on the net, but it doesn't make our membership immune to societal problems.

Yeah, I was just noticing a rise in newbie posts.

This was discussed a week or so ago also. Yeah, we're getting a bunch of new members and thats a good thing. Once they realize how things go and how the site is run, everything works out pretty good.

True.  People abide by the rules of the site and participate, or they choose to move on.  

I find it very gratifying to watch this board, for the most part, police itself.  We all know that the Mods still have to work their butts off, but the regulars also make a great contribution by setting an example for the newer members - and taking issue with them when necessary.

For real: I laid into someone, I was as out of line as they were. Leave it to the Mods, it's their job, they do it well and I only made their work harder. I will try to  :-X., however I am not good in this area, especially when I see my friends gone after. Sorry for the extra work fellas.
