Bought a new car

My wife and I went car shopping yesterday.  After visiting several dealerships we made our decision, it was like buying a timeshare, they just don't let you out of there.  From the salesman to the sales manager on to the sales manager's boss was a 4 hour ordeal but glad to say we were pleased with the end result.

We drove the new car home with no deposit on a credit card or personal check with only a promise of bringing in a check one day next week to pay for the car in full.

Each dealer we visited seemed to be quite busy.

Another Camry, she loves them

Can't go wrong with a Camry, great cars.

with only a promise of bringing in a check one day next week to pay for the car in full.

thats the best part......

as i am young, poor, and now going back to school (again, have a BA in psyc. already.... and now going back for EMT/para.) i cant fathom that......now with school im gonna be even more broke than ever.

congrats on the car though.

I just bought a new car a few weeks ago as well.

With the economy doing what it's doing, it was nice to be able to get 3 dealers competing for my business as I negotiated from the comfort of my home via e-mail :)

We won't get into the economy, except to say things are picking up and the dealerships are taking advantage, I would too.

I'm not saying I got the best deal in the world, but as long as my wife was happy it was worthwhile. She likes to run them into the ground for 8-10 years, she washed her car maybe 3 times in 8 years to give ya an idea, so it doesn't pay to go shopping for a new jag convertible for her.

I'm the total opposite, I like my cars and I like a new one every 24-36 months, I lease. I leased the new Genesis a few months ago and I have had more prestigious and costly cars but not sure I've had one that is built so well, I really like this car.

All in all we are very happy with our auto acquisitions this year.
