Read that they are done.    Great duo.    Sure did have some songs the ladies like to dance to.

The statement is on their website.

Something like 20 #1s.  :o

Great band and seem to have their heads on straight or at least enough to stay out of the police blotter........I think.

Hey Muddy, you like any of their tunes?

Just curious what the resident music buff thinks about them.

I couldn't name one tune they do . I caught part of an AUSTIN CITY LIMITS with them, and I liked their music. I am not a country person, but when I get a chance I will listen.

ps Not sure if it was ACL, but it was on PBS

They must still be fighting over the Apple Brown Betty.

Funny, it was just a couple of months ago I was wondering if they had any more albums left in them, or if they were going to retire on the millions they've made through the years.

They must still be fighting over the Apple Brown Betty.

I hope Randy Travis doesn't have a near death experience then. That sure was a great  Apple Brown Betty.

Back to B&D I hate to hear it.  I was have been on a country music kick the last year or so and they were still putting out great songs.

Most of what I like from them is from early in their career.   A few songs from late in their careers.    They certainly maintained a clean cut image, stayed in the CMT news with good music and not the tabloids.

They'll go into the country HOF someday as a duo

Boot Scootin' Boogie will always remind me of the Wednesday morning that I got my first chance to fish Lake Fork.

It was in April of 1993 when a group of us "Yankees" traveled down to Longview Texas to compete in the KYKX Big Bass Bonanza.  We stayed with a brother-in-law of one of my buddies, a real dyed in the wool Texan.  He was so much the Texan, that he refused to come up to Michigan because the Dairy Queen's up here didn't have BBQ and a Dr. Pepper on the lunch menu.

Anyhow, on the Wednesday that we decided to fish Lake Fork, I got to travel and fish with him.  His favorite song was Brooks and Dunn belting out Boot Scootin' Boogie..... And he had a cassette tape loading with something like ten versions of that darn song.

From Longview, through Gilmer, through Quitman, and right up to the shore where the 154 bridge crosses the lake, we listened to the same song, over and over again.

Thank God he didn't have a cassette player in his boat!

BTW - PB on LM that day 9lbs 9oz.

I saw them live a couple years ago. Great show. Sugarland opened for them and was also amazing.
