You can't back out, Dude.  The surgery for a woman to have her tubes tied or her uturus removed is much more painful.  If you love your woman you have to do it.  

I had mine in 1989.  Now, they make tiny holes in the scrotum.  Back then they made about a quarter to a half inch cut on each side.  I don't remember the statistics from that time period but something like 3 - 5 percent of guys had issues, usually because they weren't careful.  I was careful but I was still one of the guys who had tremendous swelling.  I couldn't wear a jock strap because of the swelling so I tried wearing loose shorts and that hurt like hell.  I had to walk around with my ankles a couple of feet apart for about a week.  Truthfully, I've had things that have hurt much worse.  I think it's just the fear of getting an infection in that area that instills fear in the hearts of men.

Actually, I was headed toward the door when the doctor came in and started talking. 30 more seconds and I wouldve been in the parking lot. Being put in the room alone where it all went down was creepy. The hard stainless table with the hard stainless stirrups looked almost like an electric chair type thing.

But all in all, it wasnt SO bad. Hopefully the recovery goes well.  

LOl me and my buddy were talking about his dad getting one the other day and were wondering if after a while you'll have like dry heeves and a puff of dust come out LOL ;D.  All I know is I plan on packing my "gravy maker" around for a while. ;D

Yes, I had a voluntary vasectomy.

I said to my wife, "Do you realize what this means?"

Now "I" can fool around, but "you" cannot! ;D

At 64 I have no intention of starting another family.  If I were younger a vasectomy would never my entered into my mind.  The future is impossible to predict and present views change.  I have had several close friends start 2 nd families into their 50's either naturally or thru adoption.
