I can't seem to find a decent one. I usually buy a new one every one or two years. But I always tend to buy a cheapy from a department store. They never last.

Who the heck makes a good wallet? I mean nice leather, with rugged stitching? Something that will last awhile. Any ideas? I'm tired of junk.

BTW, I prefer a tri-fold, but a bi-fold will do if it is a good quality wallet.

I bought a Fossil wallet at an outlet in TN that has held up pretty good for the last year or so but honestly, I think a wallet is just one of those things that has to be replaced after awhile.  I mean, a years use out of a $5 wallet makes it worth that $5.

i have a docker's wallet that i like. i don't carry it much though unless i'm going out. its a bi-fold with an ID flap.

Believe it or not, Coach. Definitely pricier than Rolfs, but great quality leather.

I have a bosca single fold that fits in my front pocket. I've had it for a few years now and it's got tons of life left.

I decided 10 years ago to invest in a Louis Vuitton wallet, cost me 350 bucks, I still use it till this day and still looks new. They are made from high high high quality canvas, not leather as most people would think. They still have Louis Vuitton Luggage from the 1800's. If you can afford to get pricey wallet I highly recommend getting a LV wallet.

My wife spends around $20-25 dollars and usually gets them for me at Christmas.  She normally gets them from JC Penney.  I don't know the brand of this one but it's gone around 4 years and probably has a couple years left.

I have a leather Tumi bi-fold ID wallet that my wife gave me a few years ago. It still looks almost new. It probably cost a bit more than the JC Penny style but nowhere near the LV.

;D No joke 350 dollars for a wallet?! That's like my girlfriend spending that much on purses. I can make a wallet last the last one I had lasted 2 years! And it was like 15 dollars on sale I'm not sure how much this new one I have was though, but there's no way it's only lasting a year.

I found a Nautica trifold at TJ Maxx last year that has held up very well so far.

My parents got me a UNC themed Fossil wallet for christmas last year.  It cost them about $50.00 (I saw the same wallet at another store thats how I know the price).

I have had the same Fossil wallet for 6 years now. It's a little worn but is holding up very well. The girlfriend keeps trying to buy me a new one but I am happy with this one.

Still seems silly. I've gotten 3 years of use out of a $10 Dockers wallet. That's $3.33 per year of use. You pay 10 times that right now. Even if your wallet lasts 50 years, it would cost you $7 per year. Even if I only kept the Dockers wallet for 2 years, it would still only cost $5 per year.

It works out well for me as I hate carrying a wallet in my back pocket (leads to back problems), plus you can't jam a bunch of useless junk in them like a wallet.

I was merely recommending on the fact that I used to go through wallets every year, so in my situation it would prove more economical. The person asking for recommendations not criticism on how much it is. Its not like I buy this wallet every 2 years, I would be dumb for that. If the 10 dollar works for you that is fine. But I would buy wallets every year because my butt would destroy them so this was a better investment for me.

It is like saying which reel is better, well every reel suits a persons needs in different ways. So does my wallet

Also I am always looking for the best deal, not necessarily the best product.
