Hey man, that's balmy!  We've had severe winter weather since Monday. Our overnight lows were in the single digits last night.  We only hit 22 as a high yesterday.  Today hit 29. 

I grew up in an alipine valley in Colorado, very often the coldest place in the contiguous US, then I went to school in Wyoming. The winter I was there it was below 0 with winds of at least 30mph for 31 days straight! I know real cold. I'm just saying that this isnt what I signed up for when I moved here ;D

just checked the weather it will be -7 back home tonight.

BTW:  While you guys are freezing, the fish are biting down here.  Not an ounce of ice to be seen on the water

Not quite true.........almost always in the summer there is a nice offshore breeze coming in, 90- 95 degrees is actually quite comfortable on the beach, I fish beaches both early morning and late afternoon.

Sounds like prime time to head offshore and troll for Dolphin and Billfish. 

For some reason I don't feel sorry for you guys down south and out west when it gets a little cold. Right now its 25 out side with a few inches of snow from the first snow of the year.

Tomorrow is a high of 18 and a low of 11 here. So yea it might be cold for a few days out west. At lest in a few days it will be back to sun and warmth. We have three months of this stuff yet.

After living and working outdoors in Michigan for 60 years  I'm thrilled to be down here year round.........you keep the cold, I had enough of it.

BTW I did go trolling for billfish and dolphin yesterday and going again Saturday.

  Only thing I ever liked about winter were the women at the ski lodge, hated skiing.

Call me crazy, but I love the winter.  I would absolutely hate to live at place that has no season change or little at all.

Snowed for a bit here this morning, followed by a spell of sleet, which will turn to cold rain for the remainder. I foresee another mother of a winter for this year

You know that's one of the reasons my buddy loves the summer up here. I have to agree with him on that. But right now its 18 degrees out. 

I just spent last night in Squaw Valley near Truckee, CA. It was -13*. Personally, I've never been in negative degree weather. I waited until in the morning to go outside, it was hovering right above 0*. The boys were hiding inside my lungs in no time.

Thanks for the laugh. I am guessing you have lived out west your whole life. It seems like here in WI we will get a few days to a few weeks of negative temps for highs during the winter.

The coldest that I remember was -35 or -40 a few years ago. I can tell you this The clutch and five speed felt like a rock. I even let my car warm up for about half a hour.
