Bass Resource and School Relation ?

Featured Replies

I love being on BR during school.

Makes it go by much faster.

Bass fishing > School.

And yet I still have a 3.75 GPA.

School is a joke. ;)

Hahahahahaha. I agree with that. But I can't deny that I may be checking out facebook or a forum during lunch or some other time.

I sure hope the 711 part of that user name doesn't look prophetic in a few years.

Coincidently, my grades have never been better since I've been on BR haha. School comes first tho. If my grades drop you won't see me for awhile.

Man...i don't know how people find the time. At my high school, there isn't time to do anything. Well, except during lunch.

At my brother's high school, he can whip out his cell in the middle of class if he feels like it.

I'll be more impressed if you can continue this trend throughout your college years.

You're 15. I think your opinion on school will change in a few years.

Our school is laptop based but still, I only look at the sight during study hall. It's my homepage btw.

If you're smart you'll take advantage of AP courses in high school and study hard for the AP exams so you can cruise by during college taking minimum hours every semester. Frees up a ton of time for fishing as well as internships/jobs during the semester which can help you beef up your resume and earn money to feed the bait monkey.

Best decision I ever made.

And to think, back when I was in high school, we didn't have cell phones, computers, or the Web.  Heck, we didn't even have MTV until my Jr. year! Sheesh!  ;)

And back then, MTV actually played music videos, and sometimes even good ones.  ;D

Well, I was just expressing my view.

And I don't understand how a simple fun post can raise such havoc.

People don't have to agree or anything.

Not everyone took it that way...

Thanks BASSclary, lynrdsky1, and hamby for taking it the way it was intended to go.

For what it's worth, 2112 is one of my all time favorite albums.  Ya, I said it - albums!  LOL!

Scary thing is that I was listening to it in high school when it was new.  ;D

Awesome!!!

I love to hear about people knowing a little Rush, other than Tom Sawyer !  ;D

But it is an amazing album, and know that they made the album as a last stand for history of the band.

I don't know if you've watched it but even if you're not a big Rush fan, you should look into the documentary Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage.

I'm a senior, and I'm gonna be going to a tradeschool after high school. So i know what i want to do and i have a plan. I also have a bad case of senioritis. Right now, my programming teachers is trying to tell me about classes or somthing

In high school, there would be a battle of the bands pep rally.  One year, my band played The Trees/Xanadu.  The next year, we played Cygnus X-1 and Spirit of Radio.  Both left most of the students and staff slack jawed.  We won both times, LOL.  Our encores were usually Scorpions or AC/DC, LOL.  Talk about contrast.

Yes, Hemispheres is my brother and dads favorite.

And would probably be their most progressive work.

I'm on a Caress of Steel kick right now.
