Why doesn't Bass Resource have a live chat room? With as many people as we have logged on here at any given time, I'm sure it would be a popular feature.

A quick reply option would be nice, as would a Bass Resource app.

It was just a thought. I belong to a gun dog forum that has a live chat. I don't think it's moderated, but I've never seen it get vulgar.

Same here. I'm on a reptile keeping forum, they have live chat and it's not moderated. For the most part people only go when we have chat events. Like, say for this site if we had a pro on for a question and answer session.

I know we have live chats to discuss forum contests and thoughts on how to improve the forum. This place is about the right size. There would rarely be more than a handful in the chat room at any given time.

Judging by the people here it would start out used quite a bit but quickly turn into a tool for the members to use vs. a free for all.

ive had a nascar chat room for 10 years. i have a bot that gets rid of problem chatters.

that said, live chat gets old and after the new wears off it will be left to a few die hards. it could be done very easy.

Just like anything else, you could choose to participate or not in a live chat.

If things get heated or uncomfortable for you, choose not to participate.  Very simple.

this would be cool. I would think you log the chat text for a limited amount of time and build in the ability to ban folks from it. Allow users to report offenders.

So if someone cannot control themselves, you got a log of it, and you can just cut them off until they can act like a big boy/girl. lol.

i think it would stay in good fun
