Yeh, what ILfish asked, What was your setup?  I'd like to get into some Muskie fishing. Nice catch, BTW.

set up was trolling over deep water with cowgirls by mayhem tackle.  trolling with 10 oz weight, 3-4 foot leader 40-50 feet of line out behind boat.  trolling speed 3-4 mph

rods were 7 1/2 - 8 foot heavy baitcasting rod, 80 lb braided line, 100 lb flourocarbon leader.  baitcaster with line counter.

nice catch...i used to live in duluth..mind if i ask what lake you were on?

Very nice fish!!! Two muskies in one day is great, but 40" and 50" on the same day is FANTASTIC!!! Way to go.

My biggest this year is 44", my biggest ever is 49.5" I'd like to break the 50" mark. I'll be trying this weekend.
