Hey RW, I broke down today and fished some heavy pads with a Chubby Wayn( actually one was a genuine Ika : ) backwards hook up on a 4/0 EWG hook. Four fish, less than an hour, biggest around 3# and I caught em in Zel's spot on the lake. Speedbead spent the day with me fishing on Mauch Chunk lake, he will post pics and report.

I promised you I  would try them the (right way) and post my report so here it is

T Rigged em. threw em ( Watermelon) right on the top of the last pad, let it slide off and deadsticked down; they never hit the bottom!

They Work just fine as intended, but i will still use them also as a jig trailer

Glad you had great success with the baits.
