Took a break from the bass. It was a nice change. On the water at 5:30, in the net at 6:30.  She ate on about the 2nd turn on the fig 8.  Old school gold spooning it.

That's an awesome fish. Nice job. That's one fish I'd like to catch before I die.

I'll just have to make due with pickerel on light tackle until then :'(

I'm hoping to get a chance at one next week. I've only ever caught two and both have been in Missouri. Going to try to get Pomme De Terre to give one up but it was awfully tough last year!

Nine miler,  I was fishing at West lake Okoboji in NW Iowa, about 100 yards from where I caught that 47 in my avatar.

Dwight,  She's not a tiger, just nice markings,  Btw, looks like you had a nice ski on your latest outing...44ish?  Nice green coloring and a big head.

Bluebasser,  This is the time of year to start chasing them with better chances of a hook up, and I here De Terre is the place to get them in KS.  My only advice is to make sure you are figure eighting on every cast.  I have caught more that half of my fish on the 8.  Good luck.
