John Crews wins on the Delta

John Crews edged out Skeet Reese by 1 oz to win the Elite event on the Delta. Greg Hackney led going into the final day but failed to bring in a limit and lost by a little over 2 lbs. Stephen Browning led Day 1 and 2 and seemed like he was on a roll and the guy to beat. After weighing in 20+ pounds on each of the first 2 days, he brought 1 fish to the scales on Day 3 that weighed 13 ozs. That was the difference maker....he couldn't recover and ended up 4th or 5th.

1oz WOW! Huge win for Crews, disapointing for Skeet to lose by 1oz in his home state.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. One ounce over a 4 day tournament. doesnt get any closer. if one of skeet's keepers didnt spit up on the way in he would have won

Crews didn't have a limit on two of the days. It just goes to show you you have to be around the big fish to win one of these things.
