  1. Great feedback guys thanks! I guess I can show some patience here . . .
  2. So it sounds like I can expect to pay at a place like Universal Mania what I would have to wait for a sale price at the normal places? I still have to sell my old aluminum so it wont happen right away, but this does sound like a good alternative to waiting until black Friday!
  3. Hello everyone. I have pretty much just been an observer here for a while. Just last week I bought a new-to-me Ranger R70. Now its time to rig it to my needs, and that includes adding a side imaging unit. I am specifically going to avoid mentioning which brand because my mind is made up and it should effect the answer to my question. The debates can get pretty ugly and I want to avoid them in this post. I can be patient buying the electronics if it would mean saving a good amount of money. I will not get into tournaments in this boat until next June. But obviously if there isnt much money to be saved i should get it sooner than later so i can become more comfortable with them. So this is a three part question. 1.) When are the best sales for electronics? 2.) Is the sale price worth waiting for? 3.) Any recommendations for websites to purchase from? Thank you in advance
  4. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. One ounce over a 4 day tournament. doesnt get any closer. if one of skeet's keepers didnt spit up on the way in he would have won
  5. get yourself a bottle of line conditioner and spray it on. seems to help a bit
  6. The reason I asked is my new Falcon Bucoo will be too little light for 1+oz flippin + pitchin. It is a fantastic rod, and will be great for flipping up to 3/4 oz. But it is not nearly the broomstick I will need for the heavy stuff. the AR wreckin sticks looks like they are some of the best in the market for that purpose. anyone have any suggestions for a comparable rod for 1oz+ flippin + pitchin for that price point or less?
  7. Im in second right now with 1271 points. Boyd Duckett is killing me. Hope he starts putting some fish in the boat soon!
  8. Bass Pro is sold out of em, online! Are these that good, or is their supplier just behind? Has anyone gotten their hands on one?
  9. You don't have to lip the bass. You can grab them on the outside or scoop then from their belly.
  10. Now you guys get to see what a warm winter day is like in NY. I was catching largemouth through 8-10" of ice yesterday, and had a great time. We won't see open water for months. I do hope it warms up for you though, but only because I have a BWS tourny on Guntersville in < 2 weeks
  11. plano 3543. I have problems with longer buzzbaits and spinnerbaits, so I am waiting for my tackle orders to show up and then figure something out
  12. I took my new baitcaster out to the river a little while ago. The river is still frozen over, so I would just cast onto the ice and retrieve. It was just nice to cast for 10 minutes until I couldnt feel my fingers, resulting in birds nests.
  13. I am a fan of it. mine is 2-3 yrs old. Used it for a lot of pitching this year so now as much time with long casts
  14. the monkey got me for $200 yesterday. It would have been more, but they are sold out of quite a few things i wanted Those are some nice lookin cranks though. who makes them?
  15. Im in! my first season on fantasy fishing, so im very excited
