Lucky Craft Pointer 100 Colors

Featured Replies

Looking at picking up one of these. What colors have you had luck with and in what water conditions? Anyone switch out the stock hooks?

I like to put an owner red treb up front (I think its a ST36 I like???? don't have it in front of me).  I use the stocker in the back til' it starts bending over- lucky hooks are awesome til they start wearing then its time for an owner or gamakatsu round bend whatever I have on hand.

maybe a spelling error in there but thats what it is called- its mostly white with a yellow/chart stripe down the sides of it, great bait been a lotta $$$ cashed on that one.

Joker has got it down, ghost minnow and chart. shad are my money colors when the jerkbait bite is on

I use chart. shad A LOT.  Many of the lakes I fish feature alewives as the primary baitfish, so I also use aurora black.  I have one in aurora gold, that catches the hell out of pickerel, LOL, that one stays in the box on tx. day.

Chartruese shad and when it's muddy I throw the Aurora Gold. Both are really effective.  ;)Only 2 colors I throw. I have heard that Nashiki by LC or Clown by Rapala work well in muddy water as well.  Both the same color just different name. I'll give it a shot this winter.

If I only had one it would be MS American Shad.

However, I'm a big fan of green "everything!"

I usually fish the Baby Bass color.

Regarding switching out the hooks: NO!

VMC Hooks are among the very best.

8-)

clear clear water = MS American Shad

clear water or stained = Ghost Minnow

stained or muddy = Chartruese Shad.

but if I had choose one, it would be the Chart. Shad because it can cover all situations pretty well.

Excellent, thanks for all of the replies everyone, I think I will start with the chartreuse shad and see how my luck goes. Thanks again!
