Chatterbait is alive and well

I had to decline a fishing invitation today beause of the "honey do's" I had promised. Bummer, but sometimes things work out ok.

I finsihed my chores and had a few hours of daylight left. Even though it was cold and rainy, I had a feeling it might be a good day for some bigguns.

I was right.

I caught a 4 lber, on a jig n pig (purple pork frog), a nearly 5 lber on a Rick Clunn 1.5 which was THE bait for today and an almost 6 # on an original rad chatterbait.

It was raw and I chilled to the bone, but nothing like some fat bassies to warm a feller up

nice fish Avid. The head anyway. What happened to the rest? hahahaha

I need a longer arm.

I forgot to mention BassinBlvd.  I have a reputation to maintain when it comes to photo's  you'll see as you stick around.  But "Avids famous fish head in shadow's" photo's are a source of much amusesment around here.  Glad to see you "jump in" so to spaeak.  I have acutally had members offer me camera's with tripods etc. to take better photo's but declined.  This is how I do it and it has become a sort of silly trademark.

Way to go! You look like papa smurf on that pic! LOL

He looks like Papa Smurf in all his photos. :-* Draw your own conclusions. :D

Nice fish. It is good to see you're able to get out and catch a few.

Thanks for the report.  I have been trying to think of something I needed to justify the long drive to the Bass Pro Spring Sale next weekend and now I have it.  To buy a couple of chatterbaits.  I guess the bait monkey will get overtime the next couple of weeks .
