7/6/07- My first fish on a jig

Featured Replies

Went out this morning to my honey hole and decided to challenge myself by fishing a jig. I had never previously caught a fish on a jig. I'm glad I gave it a try!  That's an 8lb pay off.

Welcome to the jig addiction.   ;)

Wow.......I bet its a month before you tie anything else on.  Congrats, you'll have that jig mastered in no time.

You guys had better believe I fished that setup for the rest of the morning.  Oh, BTW, that's a new PB for me.  My previous PB was 6.

Shattered it....way to go.

Very, Very nice!  Congrats.

You said it Lightninrod.  I've caught every 5lber in that pond on every other type of lure I own.  Pull out a jig and the really big boys come out to play.

Jigs are really tough for me though; patience issues.  I new there were some big fish in this pond.  Some little voice in my head told me there was a hawg swimming around today looking for a black & blue jig with a matching super chunk jr. trailer.

Thanks to everyone for taking a look and leaving a comment. :)

Redneck Bubba Bass on a Redneck Bubba Bait  ;)

Congrats on the new PB...  I'm also trying to learn the ways of the jig, but as you mentioned it takes patience which I don't have.  :D
