Pretty nice light colored bass you have here. Yeah I would prefer if you release them but keeping a couple average size bass for dinner every so often doesent harm the bass population much. Great job.

I can't complain about someone keeping a fish now and then when I killed one just the other day.  Fish took the jig in the back of it's mouth and it must of hit some vein going to its gill or something cause it was bleeding and after about five minutes in the well one Gill was pink instead of red.  What I am trying to say is that we all kill them from time to time and I would rather see the fish dead in a frying pan then floating next to the shore.  You should see the number of dead fish at the end of the Castaic night tournaments.  Everytime I bring my bag down to the dock there is a pile of fish next to the tank and those were all caught by the same guys preaching catch and release!

They have that color because they are dead!

Haha, too funny.

Nice fish....

More harm can be done when a few are not taken out.  But that horse has been beat more than enough.

It's tough though when they are fish of that class.  That pond is hardly over-populated.

and no, I have never, and never will, eat a bass.

But the law is the law and you are well within your rights so who am I to say....:(

At least your boys are learning that if you kill it, you eat it.

Wow I never noticed that before. Well maybe I did notice that dead bass floating on the top of the lake are lighter color but never realy thought of it. I feel like an idiot for makeing that comment now saying the bass were very light colored.

Ah, Dont worry about it man. Not everyone is perfect ;)  ::)

bass fishing isn't like deer hunting, nothing like having a good fry after a long day of fishing

Nice fish.  I do not like see them being eaten either, especially if I am not invited.  Will gladly change my mind if you will share.     Especially with some hush pups, warm butter and some sweet tea.

;D

Enjoy.

Like LBH said, I have never and will never eat a bass. I love keeping a few fat bluegill from time to time though. Nice fish.  :)
