Boga Grip

I do not own but I have used this model.  It is great.  I do however own a berkley digital scale that I have owned for 5+ years and it is still going strong.  I think you would be satisfied with this scale.  If you are going to be fishing any tournaments I would also reccomend that you buy a good culling system with floating tags.

I only use XTOOL'S, do a search, they are a great scale. JMHO

I have used the xtools scale that lowe160 speaks of and it is a very nice scale and culling system. Heres the link for it http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=58275&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults

But imo 100.00 is alot for a scale and some plastic floats. I bought one of these last fall and have been super happy with it. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=89091&hvarDept=100&hvarClassCode=11&hvarSubCode=4&hvarTarget=browse&cmid=PP_P1_2&cmCat=CROSSSELL

I have never used the scale that you speak of myself but berkley makes good products so I would think you would be very happy with it.

Boga Grip here as well.  Get a certifed one, It will be the last scale you buy.  Unless you drop it over the side of the boat.   :)

Tie a small (but adequate) float to your Boga Grips. It won't interfer with weighing your fish and will almost definitely save them at some point in time!

I got these.

All stainless steel, very solid and reliable. Reasonably accurate. I weighed some groceries when I first bought these. Weighed a one pound package of sausage, 3 pounds of hamburger, 6 pound roast and a 12 pound turkey. It weighs in 1/4 pound increments, and all weights were within that.

If you're going to handling toothy critters, this is the one. If you want more accuracy, and don't mind spending the extra cash, the Boga is probably the way to go.

I did a little research before buying the one I have, and discovered that the Boga is certifiable, as is the Rapala. The Berkley digital is not. Don't know if that's important to you, or not.

Cheers,

GK

After going through several digital scales, I settled on this one. It is accurate enough to be IGFA certified and it weigh's down to 1/2 ounce. I've been using it for a year and I expect it to be the last scale I ever buy.
