Temp was 101 Heat Index 110 (PICS) resized

Featured Replies

It was so hot today and the pond was way down, but I still HAD to fish!!  I fished for 6 1/2 hours and caught  6 bass (did some catfishing also).  I caught a bass on my first cast with a rattle trap by the bank.  Three hours later I caught a 4.5 lb bass on a spinnerbait by a submerged tree.  Then I caught a one with a crankbait fishing along some trees that had fallen from the bank.  Caught two 2lb bass on a 6" green pumpkin worm fished along the bank. My last fish (also in the 2lb range) was caught on the same rattle trap fished by a submerged tree.  Here's some pics. Sorry they're not too good, but its not easy to take pictures by yourself.

nice fish man! I can't imagine fishing on a day like today. Here in VA we had a heat index of 105-110 and I decided against wading...you even braved boating! that's a sign of a real fisherman.

Nice fish! Well done! ;) I like that 1st pic. 8-)

Similar temps down here but all I could get yesterday was one one lber.  You did way better!

Dan

Ahhh to be young.

I used to fish regardless of heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, even sometimes lightning (yes I was THAT dumb)

No more.  I haven't been on a real outing in weeks.  I'll do a little bank fishing now and then in the evenings

but I can't handle temps in the 90's especially with SE Florida humidity.

You go get em son.
