SteveP and Avids stick marsh adventure

Featured Replies

Beautiful day on the stick marsh/Farm13 today.  temps were in the mid 80's but a nice breeze kept things cool and comfortable.

We boated 18 shad filled bass.  That number will no doubt go up considerably cause ole Avid ran outta gas at about 3:30 but SteveP waned to keep fishing, so I got dropped off at the dock while he went back out for some more.

Lipless crankbaits were the big lures for the day.  Blue/chrome rattletraps, ghost bluegill yo-zuri vibe, and gold aruku shad all brought their share of 3 and 4 lbers to the boat.  Senko's were productive also but the chubbies wanted a moving bait,

My expensive megabait griffon landed me a (drumroll)   catfish.  yup, Ole Uncle Avid been bass fishing since the late 60's but this is his first crankbait

Many many belly laughs would have made this day enjoyable even without the good fishing.

P.S.  The aching back was helped by the Home Depot type back support, and the post surgical arm is almost good as new - Yeee Hawwwwwwww

Lol thats what I was thinking, I was expecting to read a story and see avids face and the face of a lil fishy...but we have a REAL picture!!!

Good fish and great pics, so that is what Avid looks like in a real pic.  Either way great job Avid and SteveP!

Nice hat avid!

P.S. GOOD HAWG MAN!! Dont you love it when a big'un smashes a moving bait?

Glad to see that the arm held in there to catch that fish. Congrats.

Ooooooooooops, my mistake.

The big fish of the day was a dead on 5 1/2 lber that hit the gold aruku shad. (first pic)

Thanks for all the good wishes.

I'm a little sore this morning but considering this was my first outing in about 5 months, the soreness is like a badge of honor.

All props to SteveP.  He really knows the lake, and how to get 'em.

The fish were'nt bunched up anywhere so finding them was a challenge.

As for the photo's, Steve basically said that if I didn't bring a "real" camera both my phone cam and me would join Luca Brazzi "swimming with the fishes"

This was a fun, memorable day.

Did I mention we were laughing our   off the whole day?

P.S. If you should venture to the Stickmarsh/farm13 don't forget the grape soda  8-)

Glad to see you back in action there Avid.  Looks like you had a blast first time back out.  Nice looking fish.  Looks like that fall crankbait pattern really shined through on that trip.  Soon the soreness will be a thing of the past and you'll be able to have the all day adventures.  Tight lines buddy.

WHAT A COMEBACK!!!!!!!!! EVEN BETER THAN FOREMANS COMEBACK

A REAL CAMERA ON BOAERD, GALD TO SEE YOU STUCK TO YOUR REHAB REGIMINE AND THAT SHOULDER IS READY TO FISH WELCOME BACK DON! 8-)

Yay Yay Grape Soda!!!

"I like Grape Soda, yay!!!"

Too bad we can't explain what it means on here so the rest of the board doesn't think the three of us are complete retards. ;D
