After a 5 year hiatus...

Featured Replies

Well, after taking about 5 years off while i was in school I am finally back in a location where i can do some bass fishing.  So, yesterday i went out and picked up a Shimano Sedona on a St. Croix premier.  I went out for a little late afternoon topwater action and pulled this guy out of a local pond on an old school Jitterbug.

Nice way to start fishing again. :)

welcome aboard!!!

nice fish, and hooking one like that after so long is a bonus and surefire way to keep your interest up! same as you, i took about a 6 year break from the sport, but my reason was kids, trading truck for car, which led to no way of getting boat to water, so i sold boat. not good. anyways i am back! good luck to you

Thanks again for the welcomes.  Any guess on the weight of the fish?  I did not have a scale handy.

For perspective, my hand is a little over 4" wide...lol

It's always hard to tell from a picture, but I would guess 3 1/2-4 lbs.

I would say right around 4 1/2 pounds +
