Pretty good bass thismorning

Featured Replies

Went out in the morning today before it got too hot and ended up with three bass. Unfortunately it is a thursday so none of the major lakes around here are open so I had to fish a small local pond that does not seem to have any large bass....

I did do pretty well though and was able to catch this nice one out of there. I doubt there are man bass this size or bigger in this small pond.

Man, you shouldn't have weighed the first one, it looks a lot bigger than that!

::)

Sorry if I should know this, but why wouldn't a lake be "open" on a Thursday?

Yeah that first one looks every bit of 6 lbs.

That's what I was thinkin'! ;D

I'll let him answer for himself but he lives in Cali, if that tells you anything.

That fish was only 4LBS 7OZ. I weighed it on a digital scale. I never lie about the weight of my fish, I am happy with what I catch.... Thing is I am a lot better at fish photography than fishing. I am standing very close to the camera and I am holding the fish out quite a bit. I also took the picture myself. I learned how to do good self photos pretty quickly. A lot of it was from reading the article on Fish Chis's personal web page about self taken fish photos.

I honestly do not know. I live in San Diego and for some reason most major lakes in my area are only open Saturday Sunday and Wensday....kinda sucks huh?

That is a great fish. Well done! Never underestimate those ponds though. Sometimes they can really surprise you. :)
