Insult to injury!

If he wasn't my boy I might be sore!

Before I could get out of the car and get rigged he had already rigged up, got to the bank, and created the biggest bird nest I'd seen in a long while on his brand new rod and reel. I asked him"Did you balance your bait?" NOPE! He just got too excited, So what do i do now? Hand a Revo SX to a 9 yr old? yeah right! ::). What is the other choice, let him be the first to use your brand new setup you've been dying to fish since you got it for x-mas, yep! so not only is he the first to land a fish with my shiny Curado :owith the sexy MOJO rod :PBUT, Then he out fished me with it. :'( what a geat day it was! :-/

First off, nice pic's.. :)  Don't feel to bad, the first time I took my Son bass fishing when he was 9, he's now 34..I told him to cast his spinner bait right next to a stump..bait doesn't even hit the water and a 5 lb'r tags it..he had big fish of the day.. ;D

Always good to see the young un's fishin.

Cravin, I notice he has a look of satisfaction on his face in the first pic.  ;D  How much head shaking did ya do?  A day to remember  ;)

This is the second time he landed the bigger one so I guess I'm getting use to it. I'm just glad he'll fish as long as I will without getting bored or frustrated. We are going to hit a new place today , maybe I can fish my new rod this time.

Yes that is a smile of satisfaction that he out fished his old man!

Yep!

Great story man. Memories he will cherish when he's older. I know I cherish time spent with my Dad. Cool that he enjoys something that you do too.
