Went to Lake X.

We were on some nice fish, this being the hi-lite.   That line was from a previously broken off attempt, so I was able to remove the hook and let her go to be caught again.

Thanks guys.  I did catch this one from shore.  Lake X also has a pond that has some incredible fish.  I caught this one on the way out.  She was about 7 lbs.  I didn't get a chance to weigh her though.

I caught her on a white horny toad.

nice one my man........

good to hear you were able to remove "the previous attempt" from her.

and your estimate seems about right to the pic as well.

Yes, those small lakes, ponds, have good fish in them.  Fish was very stocky.  I guessed at least 7lb maybe 7 and a half due to the stockyness.  Was the other line yours or someone else's?  I caught about a 6lber last winter that i'd hooked 5 or 6 casts before and then brought her in with my new twine and hook still in her.  Hopefully she still resides in the lake someplace close to there.  I told her to come back to me  ;Dnext tourn. hope she listened!!

"On the way out",...that's not a "Kelsey Canal" fish is it??? :o

Nope.  This was caught at "the other place" I've yet to take you to. :)

Well done Sir Redline.

Getting a big one from the bank is always great fun.
