Monday night ago, I had about 2 hours to kill so I ran over and got the boat... had an hour & a half on the lake. Caught 7 fish, including these 2 back to back about 15 minutes apart. Sorry for the phone pics, I forgot the camera. Not quite the "bullets" that Belton is famous for.

The lighter fish was considerable longer, but awfully skinny. The shorter one was real broad across the shoulders and back

no need for a ticket (even though 1 way is appealing sometimes!) I couldn't bring the boat...  instead, how about a tank of gas towards a run to Falcon?

Belton is a neat lake, having SMB, LMB & spots- but it's actually best know for hybrids.  There is some good smallie fishing, though!
