hit the local honey hole with my buddy brian...was on the water at 6 am...water clarity was 1 foot and water temps ranged from 79-85...no fish caught for the first 6 hours but we stuck with it...lost a couple solid 3 lbers..we were mostly picthing to timber and shoreline with no success...decided to fish deep and boy am i glad we did...landed my new personal best..she weighed in at 6lbs 5oz...caugth her on a black and blue baby brush hog on a submerged tree in 12 feet of water...picked up a couple other solid chunks and also caught a 8lb blue catty on a crankbait lol...4 fish total and it was hotter then hell

does your scale say 6.05? or 6 and 5 ozs? i ask cause mine doesnt read ozs. just in decimal form. so if it said 6.05,that wouldnt be 5 oz

i would have called it quits after so long,

but it payed off for you to stick with it!!!!

if we were at any other lake we would have been gone...but this lake is on a island in the middle of a river...the only time you can get in and out is high tide...so once your in there your stuck til the tide comes back in

nice!! and what a scale. i never seen one of those.
