If you are only going to catch one fish during a trip, you have to make it count.

I never get to do this so....Weight guesses anyone?  ;)

The fish looks to be an overachiever. It doesnt look long but very fat and healthy, tough call hmmmm

235?

I'm going to go on the high side of the guesses so far and say 7lbs 4oz.  Awesome fish though.

I knew one of you guys would chime in.   ;D

6-4 is correct. I really thought that it was going to be bigger but like Matt said, it was a relatively short fish that had fat gut.

LOL, I wish.  Total weight of fish and angler is a little closer to 300.

;D

nice fish Wayne!

Thats a great looking fish. I actualy had my first guess at 6 3/4 then I edited my post. That one was tough. Because it was fat like that it made it look shorter then it was which made me second guess the weight. Actualy I changed my guess 3 times  :-[

Wow! What a football! Regardless of weight it is a perfect specimen. At least a solid 6 or better.

Congrats on the big bass. Nice photos as well. Thanks for posting. Sent you a PM.

Nice one Wayne!  Those things are freakin fire.  I just posted my video I made of me fishing it in the thread above yours.  Go check it out.

How were you retrieving it when she hit?  I added 4 suspendots to mine and barely crawled it.

I just hate that RW was the one that beat me to the smartelack guess.

Nice fish!!!

What are the weights of those swimbaits?

Dock Master, The bait he is using is a slow sink that is six inches long. It sinks very slow and weighs just slightly over one ounce.

Ryan, I found that if I rip it a couple times, the bait will dive to about two feet. After that, I will start a medium retrieve which brings the bait back towards the surface.

Throw in some pauses and I'm good to go.

I will have to try the Suspend Dots.  There are a couple areas I would really like to fish the bait deeper.

Randall, thanks again for an awesome bait.
