Help me choose a trailer color

What is the forage?

Crawfish?  If so, what color?

Water Clarity? - Clear, stained or dirty?

Bottom - Mud, sand, rock?

Cover and Structure? - Wood, grass, rock, flat, culverts?

Fish Activity? - Active or inactive?

Trailer Claw Movement? - Fast (Rage Tail) or slow (Pork and Plastic)?

So your simple query as to what color needs to be thought out and amended as you fish the jig.

Did we discuss bottom color?????

I would go with a Pork Trailer in blue or black for starters, and have a  orange and a crawfish color ready to change out.

Just food for thought.  ;)

I try to match my trailor with whatever color the jig is - Stick with black or black / browns

Yeah, I'd use black, or black/brown. Another thing you can try is a all black trailer and dip the very front half inch of the claws into Spike-it chart dye. It would match the chart strands in the jig, and this combo would make a great jig for chocolate milk water clarity.

Black was my first choice. Good stuff, I know it also depend on my conditions, but I wanted to see everyones opinion. Thanks a lot for the help guys.

Jig trailer color doesn't make a difference IMO.  What I think makes a difference is if the angler throwing it feels confident in it.  Get something that looks awesome to you, then cast into a productive spot and work the bait in a way that looks awesome to the fish.

I tend to use a lot of pork so

black/blue-stained

blue-muddy water

black/chart-stained to muddy

brown-clear

orange-brownish water

When ever black is required I prefer Black Neon   ;)

Black or green pumkin are what I use 90% of the time.

I like my trailer to normally be a contrasting color to the bait.  A Pumpkin with green flecks, or a chatruse zoom chuck would work well with this jig.

I just wanted to know what everyone's favourite colour is. This jig I think can be very versatile because it's a great all around jig. I can pick and choose a lot of different trailer colors based on the situations.

okeechobee craw for sure. Don't ask me why, but it gets eaten. And I use it at the same time that I use jigs with those types of skirts colors. Of course, it is entirely relative but that would be my choice.

okeechobee craw is a great colour. $1.99 so inexpensive, I got them as well.  =)
