rocks

Use a brown jig with a crawdad trailer.

I used a Goby bait by Poor Boys Bait.  They were awesome in Muskegon Lake, MI.  They look like a big tadpole.  If you can find them...buy them.

I have done well with a dropshot, crankbait, spinnerbait, small swim baits, and a small spook

Texas rigged small tubes are a good choise for smallmouth.

I hate to be the one who does this generic response - but it depends on where, how deep, season, temperature, weather & a lot of other factors. There are a million ways to fish rocks, experiment a bit and you may be surprised.

Depending on your situation( depth, current, wind, ect.)

I'd use a big tube(for me thats 3 1/2") and the lightest jig weight to go in it and still touch the rocks, so I could work it slow around the rocks and not get hung up as quick.

It's not a brand, it's a type of jighead.   Owner and Gamakatsu make them, as I'm sure many others.   :)
