Good Bass Fishing Magazines

Featured Replies

Of course, Bassmaster is a good publication, but I always liked Bassin'.  I haven't read Bassin' for some time, but it always seemed that it was more aimed at the Bass enthusiast and Bassmaster at the tournament angler (of course trying to drum up $ for B.A.S.S.)  It seemed that the casual angler could get more out of Bassin' than Bassmaster.

Then again, I don't tourny fish, although I just re-upped with BASS (the mag's cheaper than Bassin')

I wouldn 't recommend Bassmasters anymore, compared to what it used to be. Bassin ' has good articles.

You gotta have Yamamoto's Inside Line  ;D

JT might be a little bit bias, but I'm independent and my #1 choice would be...INSIDE LINE

I also like BASSMASTER (this month it's the bomb), and IN FISHERMAN.

In Fisherman and Bassin' are really the only good ones I get up here. As far as Canadian magazines go Bob Izumi's Real Fishing is my favourite.

As a recreational angler, I enjoy Bassmaster. I used to like Bassin' also, but I dropped them a number of years ago because I despised their business practices.

In Fisherman is good, Bassmaster is on a decline. I think Bassin is too gimmicky.

Worm77,define gimicky as it relates to Bassin.  I am considering a subscription

Maybe gimmicky isn't the best word to use, I just felt that reading the articles, I wasn't getting a ton of knowledge from them or I thought some of the writers didn't do a great job getting their points across. Just my opinion. Certainly not on the level of I/F or B/M
