JT Bagwell
When I go to BPS (which isn't often), I drive about 3 hours. I have a Gander Mountain and a Dick's Sporting Goods about 15-20 minutes away (depending on the traffic). JT Bagwell
CBedo
They are building one near my house in Denver, set to open late in the fall. But until then, I have to fly home to Dallas to see my mom, or more often, fly to see my brother in Vegas! Gotta like a Bass Pro Shops directly connected to a casino! Also, gotta love the Orange County Chopper that looks like a fish.

Hey isn't the Cabelas opening up over in Ft. Worth off of 35 or is it opening in Denton? I keep hearing about it but I don't know my way around down there much and I'm wondering for sure where it's going to be. I heard it's going to be down by Texas Motor Speedway but I'm not for sure! If it is that would save me about 30 minutes off my drive down there!
digdug
When I was a kid BPS was just a display in the Brown Derby packaged liquir store just a few blocks down the street. Now BPS is about 90 mintues away. I can remember when they first opened at the current location, back around 1980. I can still go there and spend hours shopping. burneddude1
The closest one is in Myrtle Beach, its about a 25 min. drive off-season or 1hr. 25 min. during tourist season. but it seems to be stocked more for salt water fishing. Got a Wal-mart about a 5 min. drive from the house off season or 35 min. during tourist season. I'd love to have a good old tackle shop to go to. but here on the coast its all catered to salt water. Fatdaddy150
BPS in Cincinatti, Ohio is 120mi from me. About an hour and 35 minute drive. Not a bad store, selection is smaller than some of the other stores. I go there about once a month. Good trip for me and my wife. She shops the mall for about three hours while I drool in BPS!!! They are finishing up the one being built in Clarksville IN, this will cut my drive in half. Looks like it is going to be huge! I've heard that it is going to be the second biggest BPS in the nation, only one bigger will be the headquarters. Does anyone know if this is true? Just a rumor I heard. jake
I have an hour drive to Harrisburg BPS. Gander Mountain is about 45 min. and only 5 min. away from work. Gander Mountain has a better selection and is more convenient.
BassMaster
about 2 and a half hours is the closest then there is one in Myrtle Beach about 4hrs away.. yup... and it's well worth the drive too if you just want to see some cool stuff. if you plan on shpping a whole lot, they have a thing called the internet and it's a great invention... i do all my shopping from BPS online now. and now that gas is so danged expensive, i can't afford to drive that far anymore just to see a d**n big store with a lot of cool stuff.
